Schubert: "The Fisherman's Luck in Love"

In German. Christopher Genz with Wolfram Rieger on piano. One of the great Leitner settings. Hypnotic.

"Wasn't that a great movie when it first came out..."

.... Yes ... and the lyrics to the theme were the easiest lyrics to learn ... ever! When the big guy with the bass voice sings the first few words it still sends shivers down my spine ..... You know .... "Duuuuuuuuh ... Dum ...."

Schubert: "Fisherman's Wisdom"

In German. Ian Bostridge with Julius Drake on piano. One of the few settings of Schlechta's poems. Good fun.
