To: Kathy in Alaska

Good morning Kathy. Been getting a few showers. Enough that non-irrigated fields are finally growing some weeds. Anything green here is welcome. The wind has been the pits; one local has planted a sandy field 5 times this season already and the wind yesterday was ripping the young plants with the blowing soils. We persist so far. Wheat cutting is underway.
I imagine you are in a world of green now.

Yes, we are in a sea of green...finally after very little rain. It has rained for the last 2 days and the lawns are sucking it up and you can almost see the grass grow.
