I just got an email from one of my best friends decrying the disappointing outcomes of the primaries on Tues. Its true. Even if the GOP takes back the Senate I think the base will not love a lot of the stuff they have in mind for us.
No person shall be eligible to participate in any primary election unless he intends to support the nominations made in the primary in which he participates.Not enforcible, but it is the law.
The federales want as many bodies in this country that they can get, under the belief that it staves off the demise of the various federal Ponzi schemes.
My thoughts, also.
The cost to the elites should be measured in the damage they’ve done to themselves and the party.
They have proved they are Democrats lite, and crapped all over a very large portion of the party. I don’t know how many share my attitude, but I will not vote for Mitch McConnell in November after what he has said and done to us here (and outside KY). Not...going...to...do...it.
For everyone that criticizes my view on this, I say, look around. The GOP has, in these primaries, flat out said they will not change anything in DC. They have said they will not stop Obama’s unconstitutional actions. They have said everything will continue exactly as it has been for the last 6 years.
Over the last couple of election cycles the GOP has also demonstrated a level of corruption in primaries exceeded only by the Democrat’s corruption.
The republic is done. Put a fork in it. I suggest you people start thinking about how to protect yourselves and your families. Very rocky road ahead.
Yuk yuk. The law also says each legal citizen is allowed one vote. Legal citizen and one vote. How’s that working out?
I’m just thinking, the GOP without the semblance of needing to make it look good, they’ll own the senate, and with all the Dems, it’ll go without a hitch.

Scott Brown won with Tea Party support. He gets in office and forgets about the Tea Party. Then he loses to Fauxahontas Elizabeth Warren. Now, he goes to New Hampshire to ask for our support again. For me, it only takes one instance of betrayal to learn my lesson.

So you're thinking the Democrat wouldn't be pulled leftwards by Washington in the way a Republican would? Or wouldn't end up farther left than Thad Cochran? Interesting.
I don't know enough to judge, but 1) the Democrat would help make people who disagree with you committee chairs, and Cochran wouldn't, and 2) while the Democrat might have to take conservative stands to get reelected, if there's a Democrat in the White House, he or she might promise the Democrat a job in the administration if the Democrat senator comes out as a liberal, so you could get four years of votes you'd abhor out of that new Democrat senator.
Here's the dilemma - If you go ahead and vote for Cochran anyway then there wasn't any downside to what they did in the election. That means they'll do it again if they have to when he retires to get their hand-picked replacement installed and you get to look forward to 20-30 years of that.
