Lois Lerner, the controversial director of the tax-exempt organizations division at the Internal Revenue Service, has a long sordid history of targeting conservatives.
Under the direction of Lois Lerner, the Federal Election Commission sued the Christian Coalition in the 1990s. She harassed the Christian Coalition for three election cycles. Eventually, she lost her case. At one point Lerner even asked a targeted conservative if Pat Robertson prayed over him. (Sound familiar?)

That’s it, I’m done. It would kill this guy to stick to one issue and pursue it as if he knew what he was doing instead of changing the subject, then changing the scope, then changing the timeline, then changing something else.
He is an incompetent pretend-lawyer and because of his blue-collar background it is feeding his ego somehow to make high level bureaucrats squirm. But he is making really, really stupid mistakes born of this pretend-lawyer crap and is actually sabotaging his investigation. By changing the topic, he is making it look he doesn’t have enough material to work on and is only interested in harassing the IRS. This is destroying the case.
He has to be replaced on this committee. Hopefully with Gowdy. But Issa is blowing it, big time.

Absolutely, but the implications are worse than just a “stylistic” distinction. Issa is causing this thing to get diffused, confused, blurred. Because he isn’t able to get any traction he’s making it seem more and more like there’s no “there” there. And this is because he is not a trained interrogator, like Gowdy is. He’s pretending. And his little game is getting closer to blowing this thing up.
And if this admin cannot be indicted over the IRS thing, NONE of the others will hold. Because this one is the most illegal, by far.
