With his job approval rating at a low ebb and his policy agenda stymied in Congress, President Barack Obama is trying again to show a common touch and convince more Americans that he is still fighting for their interests.
The latest move in Obama's empathy campaign will come Thursday when he plans to meet with a mother identified by White House officials as "Rebekah" of Minneapolis. She wrote to the president to explain her day-to-day economic problems; he read the letter and decided to reach out to everyday people like her around the country.

Thing is, Zero is loved by the people that live in that area.. the thugs would likely protect him.
AN EMPATHY CAMPAIGN!!! WTF???
This is allegedly the most powerful man in the free world. The leader of the free world. And he’s on an empathy campaign??? WTF
No doubt he will have a parade of victims that are too stupid to realize their lives suck because of liberal democrat policies and Obamanomics. He will speak at a college or two near the nicest golf course, spew his usual rhetoric about those “other guys” who caused all the problems, the go golf.
HOW DO PEOPLE KEEP FALLING FOR THIS???
Could this be the same Rebekah of Sunnybrook Farm ?
She would not be a stooge for this lying Marxist ass
Which American Rebekah will he visit?
Rebekah Nagler is an assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota.
Rebekah Moses of the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women as a Program Manager specializing in Policy, She was honored to work in Kansas City, KS as a bilingual community-based advocate at El Centro, Inc.’s ¡Sí, se puede!
Rebekah Nett, a Minnesota attorney, representing a debtor, who seems mad both mad as in angry, and mad as in bats**t crazy pants. Shes mad at the lender, and shes mad at the judge.
But mostly, shes mad at Catholics. Dirty, dirty Catholics
.
And then some...
Another day of campaigning, another day of nothing actually being done about it.
Obama is an IDIOT...he doesn’t want to do any work, he just wants to keep campaigning as if he wasn’t already responsible for the mess this country is in!
Hey, DUDE, you ‘won’, you own it!
******
White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said in an e-mail that Obama will meet Rebekah in order to “spend a day in her shoes,” and talk to her family and community members about “the steps we need to take as a country” to help people get ahead.
“When the president travels to Minnesota, he’ll launch the first in a series of day-in-the-life visits across the country this summer,” Pfeiffer said.
From the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:
“The president had long planned a trip to the Twin Cities for a private fundraiser Thursday night.
“Obama said in the video that he looked forward to listening to Rebekah’s story, which he said was common among the thousands of letters he receives.
“’There are actually policies out there that could end up making a difference in her life if we could get Washington to work on her behalf,’ he said.”

============================================
A few weeks ago I ventured over to SoLow Foods on Lowry and Emerson for some King Of Wings spice. It was packed and I was the only white guy in the place and stood out like a sore thumb. Not for the faint of heart!
I used to work by N Cedar Lake Rd & James Ave N back in the 1980’s. I also lived in the area. You just did not go out at night. Everything then was run down and after googling the street view it still is today.
