We'll admit it: We're suckers for ways to reimagine the political boundaries of the United States.
Below, we have a four-decade-old attempt from California State University geography professor C. Etzel Pearcy.

Yeah. Here's what popped into my mind. I do think that if your going to go this route, 10 makes more sense than 36.

I never noticed it before but Florida sure snagged a huge chunk of Alabamas coastline. When Florida was a Spanish possession, it reached as far as the Mississippi River, about as far north as Baton Rouge.

You think?
We might have lost Opelika and Eufaula but looks like we pick up Pascagoula, Pensacola and Panama City. Auburn looks like it’s right on the line. I don’t think we could give up Ft Payne, since that’s were the band Alabama is from.
Talladego is a pretty stupid name, though.

"Never heard of Boise City, though."It is actualy in the Oklahoma panhandle....
To: Charles Martel
So the “concept” of an Alabama is kind of an afterthought and so they’re lucky to get whatever they get?!
Anyway, thanks for the info and I’m just teasing about Alabama.

" Peaceful Secession."If not, forcible ejection from the Union.

We do not need less states we need more.
I live in Pennsylvania and we get screwed every election because of Philadelphia. I imagine there are other States in the same boat. Pennylvania should be 2 States. Philadelphia and all the rest...........

Yes Dearborn could be a large crater in current geo- location. Several previous efforts have attempted to make the U.P. and Northern Wisc. the “State of Superior”. Unfortunately the mining and paper industries are liberal bastions and would quickly try to destroy it.

It was good of him to name a whole state after me, 3 decades before I joined FR.
Who says there is no such thing as a time machine?
Personally though, I would prefer for the Bay Area all the way to and including Santa Cruz be pushed into the Pacific and the delta including Sacramento be under water. I imagine a nice warm inland sea would be great fishing...

My posts speak for themselves, or should I say “they are self-explanatory?” Besides, your moniker reminds me of coriander seeds, not caraway seeds.
