The U.S. should elect a woman as president "as soon as possible," first lady Michelle Obama said Monday at the first-ever White House Summit on Working Families.
"I think this country is ready," the first lady in response to a question from ABC's Robin Roberts about when a woman should be elected to the highest office in the country.
Obama didn't call out former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by name, so it was no endorsement - and she also said that qualifications matter more than gender.

Maybe he could run again in 2016, he would be the incumbent but would only have served half a term and the terms served as Barack don’t count because Barack no longer exists, the transgender is a new and different person.

Does it amaze you as much as it does me that Democrat/progressive women sincerely believe that being the first lady (semi-dude in this case) instantly qualifies them to run for political office including that of President? Did Barbara or Laura Bush declare that they were sure-fire presidential material? Nancy Reagan? Even Jimmy Carter’s wife to be fair.
Just because you lived in the White House while your husband was President is not an automatic qualification for elected office.
To me, that smacks of royal succession. The Queen should follow the King if there aren’t any Crown Princes to do so. I guess we have become an aristocracy.
