Glenn and TheBlaze have been covering the growing crisis at the southern border for a number of weeks now. With the situation further deteriorating, Glenn came before his audience on Monday morning with an interesting ask. In fact, Glenn described what he was about to say as “the hardest thing” he has ever asked for. But as he shared troubling new information about the humanitarian crisis at the border, Glenn asked his listeners to consider donating to Mercury One.
I’m not going to tell you who is giving me this information because things down at the border are extraordinarily difficult and not what you are being told it is. The Administration – and I believe this also includes the progressives Republicans – are trying to keep the lid on the media right now. And the churches are the ones who are pulling people’s feet out of the fire. Our state reps now have gone and toured the facilities that are happening in Laredo, Brownsville, Van Horn, McAllen, and all across the border. This one particular facility that I want to talk to you about holds 400 people but currently it has 1,200 kids in it. Some of them are toddlers. 1,200. 400 is what the max capacity is.
Let me ask you: How fast would the federal government or the state shut you down if you had anything that said maximum capacity 400, and you had 1,200 people if there? Three times the amount. Is anybody seeing a problem with this? The federal government is breaking their own laws and they are keeping this information from us.
I am told by people who have toured and work at this facility that when they open the doors to go in, the stench is so bad the politicians that were to go in gagged and backed out. One of the churches is planning on converting their entire church, the largest in the area, to become a holding facility because of how bad things are. Things are so desperate right now, hygiene and food are the number one problem. Clothes are further down the list. They need portable showers and Port-A-Johns. They have no way to wash their clothes. They need food and hygiene care right now. Many of them have not eaten in days. FEMA is supposed to be down there. They are not down there.
Today, I want to appeal to you. I want you to just think about this, please. The two citizenships that we hold. We will destroy our country if we only recognize the citizenship that we have in our country. If the Constitution of the United States of America is our god, then we are lost already. Our God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Our God demands certain things from us. He demands us to see each other. He demands that we help each other. He demands that we help the child. We help the suffering. We are the Good Samaritan.
There are some who are going to say, ‘I’m not going to help the people. They came across the border.’ Well, okay, but they’re here now. They’re on our border. Yes, some of them may be MS-13. That’s a different argument. We can sort out who’s who after we take care of people. That’s for the government to do. I’m not talking about we’re going to send them into our cities.

Ha! That’s EXACTLY it! I couldn’t quite put my finger on the description.
I remember when I used to get excited about those hyped stories of his. Yeah, they turned out to be as groundbreaking as Hannity’s supreme announcement that Lynyrd Skynyrd would be at his stupid Freedom Concert. (Can’t believe I still remember that...)
Say what you will about Doc Savage, but he’s the only one on talk radio I can stand to listen to. I’ve tuned out the golfer, the wallbanger, and the hemorrhoid with eyes :P
Now I believe in treating the children humanely at the border. Offer them a sandwich and a cup of water and point them south.
Obama is the reason for this humanitarian crisis. If any of these children die, it’s his fault.
I disagree. We need to make their time here very, very uncomfortable.
Put them in the dessert in tents and feed them bread and water.We need to throw them back over the boarder as quickly as they come.
We need to end ALL aid to any country that has anything over 100 of their citizens illegally crossing our border.
We need to completely seal our Southern border.

It would cost less to just send them back immediately and let their parents handle them

I don’t agree with what Beck is saying.
But here is another angle.
There are many, many families in the United State who would welcome these children as legal adoptees, without compensation.
I say the states should immediately put these children up for adoption with no possibility that they be returned to their bio-families. They were abandoned to an uncertain fate. Let’s make that fate a permanent, happy one.
Of course, the libs would never have this.
Honduras wouldn’t even begin to entertain the notion of Americans invading their borders. We’re overrun with fools who are enabling the destruction of this country.

The warning signs were always there with Beck, what with the endless crying and emotional outbursts. Most conservatives, at least in my experience, try to look at issues logically rather than emotionally. It is one of the things that sets conservatives apart from bleeding heart liberals. Though I guess to be fair to Glenn, I am not sure how sincere his crying really is much of the time.
Anyway it seems to me he has decided to become a libertarian because he believes that is the direction the country may be going. So he combines that with a bunch of preachy blather that he assumes will keep traditional conservatives in his corner.
I still give Glenn Beck credit for exposing Van Jones and showing what some of these left wing “charities” really are, but when he had his moment on the mall he seems to have decided he could be America’s spiritual leader and I don’t need or want that from a talk show host. Now his show and media operation strike me as some kind of cult more than anything else.
I suppose each right of center talk show host has his/her place and considering the entire mainstream media is liberal we probably ought to be thankful for every crumb we can get, but for me Mark Levin is the most cerebral and intellectual of the bunch. Yeah, I could do without all the “get off the phone you big dope” stuff, but I do believe Mark at least knows his stuff. One of the problems with all these shows is that you can only scream to the heavens and warn of imminent national destruction so many times before people tune out. I guess with all his experience Rush is a little more circumspect about it all, but even he has become a bit stale to me.
Anyway, Glenn can go feed the illegals on his own dime as far as I am concerned. The only money I’m willing to chip in is for diesel and jet fuel to bus and fly them home.
I agree...seems to me He would hold the parents responsible for abandoning their children with an eye toward breaking our laws.
We should build a tent city right across the border in Mexico. We can put in portable toilets, showers, washing facilities and even entertainment. There are plenty available because we brought all that stuff back from Iraq. It was good enough for the soldiers, it should be good enough for the kids.
