Are you even disputing the fact that Richard (”the Patriot”) Cheney secured five draft deferments during the Vietnam War in the 1960s?

That slimy leftist talking point has been well covered right here on Free Republic, a source that is credible unlike The Nation, Slate and the American-hating Washington Post, rightly called Compost by Patriot Mark Levin.

One quote, among many, from that thread makes it all abundantly clear:

Cheney led the military as Secretary of Defense from 1988 to 1992? Didn't I read somewhere that during this watch the US became embroiled in a shooting war? If that's all true, then didn't Cheney serve the US in a military capacity (though not in uniform) for approximately four years?

And consider this:

Dick Cheney spent most of his life strengthening the military and our country, supporting our troops and serving as an achieving, positive force in the United States Government.

To character Vice-President Cheney as anything other than a Patriot is a liberal lie.

Cheney never served in uniform. He took deferments rather than serving in Vietnam. If being in office during military action constitutes military service, then draft-dodging Bill Clinton is a military “veteran” because he was president during the Kosovo bombing.
