From Michelle Malkin's Twitchy:
Stephen King ✔ @StephenKing
Multiple gunshot wounds last night at Red Rocks. We regulator booze and tobacco; it's time to regulate firearms.
I thought they already were and this is the problem
Ah yes, “The Five Food Groups!”
Stephan King is a real idiot for a guy with a fertile mind.
The Stand is one of my all time favorites.
A). The implicational LIE that there are virtually no controls or law on guns - or in this case that there isn't a whole bureau regulating Alcohol Tobacco and FIREARMS
B). Lying by statistics to score whatever political points they can to Forward their gun grabbing agenda.
The Loose Laws Lie has been repeatedly used to attack our Commonsense Civil Rights by the following method:
Step one: Repeatedly scream that gun violence is caused by the ;easy access to guns or that guns aren't already heavily REGULATED -
Step two: Get whatever laws they can on the books in response to the latest incident - and then say its a good First Step.
Go back to step one, rinse lather repeat
Back up the process with Lies based on statistics..
... Yes Mr. King .... Maybe we could regulate guns under the jurisdiction of a new Federal Department ... we could call it the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms!!! ... Oh wait ....
Just a cursory look at the data, I bet if we regulated large gatherings of black people under the age of 35 and regulated hip-hop/rap music, we'd have FAR greater success in curbing violence in this country.
Think Steve-o would go for that?
How could a liberal mind write something like that?
Yeah, heard about the car accident. My comment, too bad it was not going faster.
Mine too. A roommate loaned me a copy and I devoured it. Then I started buying hard copies of all his books, for years; that guy can crank them out.
Then I heard him spout some liberal nonsense and I quit buying. I get them from the library now. Screw him, not one more dime from me.
King’s alcohol and drug addictions were so serious during the 1980s that, as he acknowledged in On Writing in 2000, he can barely remember writing Cujo.[9] [14] Shortly after the novel’s publication, King’s family and friends staged an intervention, dumping on the rug in front of him evidence of his addictions taken from his office including beer cans, cigarette butts, grams of cocaine, Xanax, Valium, NyQuil, dextromethorphan (cough medicine) and marijuana. As King related in his memoir, he then sought help, quit all forms of drugs and alcohol in the late 1980s, and has remained sober since.[9] The first novel he wrote after quitting drugs and alcohol was Needful Things.[105]
Or so he says.
A guy who abused drugs and alcohol wanting to tell others how to live and think.
Priceless
The problem with a lot of liberals is that they don’t preach what they practice.
Its a quandary.
Dude needs to find Jesus.
I can swatch it over and over again.
LOL, I’ve always meant to read that series...I just finished the first one.
I found out King revised it...do you think I should read the revision, or just skip it?
