Friday at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference in Washington, D.C., former presidential candidate and talk host Herman Cain hoped uninformed people would stop voting because he quipped, “Stupid people are ruining America.”
After pointed out that only 58 percent of registered voter showed up at the polls in the last presidential election Cain said, “What about the 42% that stay at home?”

It’s simply the truth.
All the fights and flamewars filling literally hundreds of thousands of posts and not one of his defenders ever once showed an episode of conservatism in his political life.
No one has the fear excuse to hide behind two years from an election. And yet here they are demanding round two of the madness.
These are not people ‘in fear’ of a democrat or sorry they voted liberal. these are people that WANT a liberal. If not, let them explain WHY 2 years out they are making the same noises and excuses they did last time.
How? Instead of voting for the lesser of to evils (at least evil in your minds) you allowed the greater of the two evils to get into office and stay in office. Not voting is a defacto vote for the greater evil. Evil is evil and you have actively, by your inactivity, taken the side of a known evil over your perception of the lesser.
We’ll never know if there was a lesser evil or even if that lesser evil actually existed because of those who didn’t bother to vote.
Those of you who did not vote are part of the obama electorate and you have no right to bitch and moan about it at this point and be taken seriously. I know a lot who fall into this category and I despise them as much as the low-information democrat voters.
Unicorns. One votes for something. Not against. People are not in Soviet Russia yet and are not required to elect the liberal. So your whole delusion means nothing and isn’t worth arguing over something built on false premise.

Voting for “something” does not equate to voting. Not voting to remove a true evil is still a defacto win for the true evil.
Your reply is so much blah, blah, blah. You didn’t even take a chance to remove obama. If you think mitt the twit could have been worse then you are really delusional. Even if he had been about the same it would have been at least a wash but again, we’ll never know that, will we?
The false premise is that the two candidates were just the same. No, mitt wouldn’t have been perfect or even meeting what most of us wanted but even marginally better than obama would have left us with some hope.

Voting is only part of it. Voting out democrats is a specific part of it. Will voting alone fix this catastrophe? At this point I am not very confident. This is fast coming to the point where more direct actions may be needed and in fact be the only recourse. I know well how long it took for our founders to coalesce supporters and patriots and how hard it was then keep that movement alive. It seems that today there are too many who fit Paine’s description of the “sunshine soldier”. I don’t know.

There is no guarantee of course, but the states are awakening to the fact that in Article V they have the legitimate power to do an end run around DC and divide power once again between themselves and the government they created.

Blah, blah again. Nobody is suggesting you be forced to vote. You chose to accept the greater evil by not exercising your right to vote. Obama voters voted for him through ignorance or by ideology. Non voters are knowledgeable of the threat but choose to do nothing. Enjoy the next few years, your non votes helped to inflict great evil on our Republic.
