There is a simple solution to this controversy and it is a win-win for both sides. Keep the Washington Redskins name but change the LOGO.

Not bad!
How about the Washington Statists?
Or the Washington Tyrants?
To: Iron Munro
I wonder if anyone would object if the Redskins were to simply change its logo to a headshot of a badly sunburned white guy???
To: Genoa
Needs work Yes it does, but not bad for a place like Minnesota ... then again, there are many real football fans up there who don't like messing with tradition ... at least in sports!

Are the Chicago Blackhawks next on the chopping block? No, the Packers are next. That name is "offensive" to the most politically protected group in existence right now.

(prepare yourself for incoming etymological hectoring d;^) Well said, I withdraw, and resubmit. They should rename them the "7th Cavalry" :-)
To: Aevery_Freeman
They should change to the Washington PCs - careful with the enunciation lest you be misunderstood. That would be a good one.
The do need a name more in keeping with the character of the city they represent.
Something like "Capitol City Moochies".
Or the Washington Scumbag Politicians.

It’s listed with the other polls. Just have to look for it. Not easy to find but responses are still being accepted.

I served with the 1st Battalion 7th Cavalry 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam (1970-1971). I believe Custer would be offended!
