Your preference is apparently to keep the Republican party turning left, because that is certainly what happens when liberal Republicans win, primary or general.
Nuts to you.

I am 100% behind Cruz. I think Palin is in a good spot right now, but I would support her for any position she chose.

I am somewhere between a conservative and a libertarian. I want the federal government cut down to the bare minimum and let the states run their own states. I want to change the senators and congressmen into part time citizen legislators with the emphasis on citizen not legislator.
I am for the most competent representatives and administrators and I don't care about their religion or color.

The constitution of the US was written in 1790 when our population was less than four million people. Everything has become much more complicated with over 300 million.
The government is too big and has become ungovernable, even by qualified and honest people if we could elect some.
I believe a constitutional convention is necessary if the citizens are going to be able to get a handle on this runaway monstrosity called the federal government.

Music to my ears! {^) You and me both, fellow FReeper!

I used to vote for the Republican-no-matter-what. For 30 years I did that, and the Republican party kept moving so far left that in 2012, in order to vote Republican, I was required to vote for a candidate whose entire political career embodied everything I've been voting Republican all these years to prevent!

My vote in the primaries regarding the presidential choice is moot, as I'm in California. The party's primary outcome is decided long before voting time ever gets to me. I vote in the primaries for liberal Republicans to lose. NOW I will also vote in the generals such that they lose, as well. It is the ONLY way to hold the Republican party right.

And frankly, I am ready to move on from the Republican party if the opportunity presents itself. I think its day is done.
