OK, OK. To the Bush family, and particularly to former two-term Florida Gov. Jeb Bush: Don't worry. Let me start, up front, by saying: I would never vote for Jeb Bush for president. He is way too conservative for me.
Now that that's over with, I think Bush is a really good guy -- a good person, good father, good husband, good brother (to my Yale College friend, two-term President George W. Bush) and good son to his great, great dad, former President George H.W. Bush.
Jeb Bush's positions on two issues, in my view, make him formidable against a Democratic presidential candidate in 2016: education reform and immigration policy.

No more Bush’s or Clintons.. PLEAS!
“Waaay too early to be so defeatist. I know it’s hard, but try to resist this feeling.”
My fear is Cruz and Paul will cancel each other out and the GOPe candidate will get the nod.
And yes, it is way too early. I am waiting to see how the Republicans steal defeat from the jaws of victory this November.
GHWB flew TBMs off of aircraft carriers in WWII and GWB flew F102s in the Texas ANG.
The F102 was a very challenging and dangerous aircraft to fly back in the day
I don’t think “formidable” is exactly the right word.
That said, Jeb would be OK - he was a good governor - and is a lot more relaxed and personable than either his father or his brother.
I think he’d be OK as President, too, in a normal situation. But I’m not sure there’s any candidate out there who has either the knowledge or the guts to rebuild the ruin that will be left to us in 2016.
GHWB also signed the UN Agenda 21 treaty, without a doubt, the single worst decision made by any President, that single act gave way to the Regime we are struggling under now.
Here’s an alternative for you.
No one.
President of what?
Hah! Watch us all stay home.
Lanny Davis is a pod. He isn’t human.
Not.
That's easy to figure. Harvard and Yale are the day care centers for the children of the Ruling Class. Party affiliations only count later on.
Yes he would be. He would melt into the beltway ooze and the guy who ran during the campaign would never be seen or heard from again.
You know who to NOT vote for by the picks of the left. So far, it’s Jeb followed by Rand Paul.
We need to unite to keep them from being the nominee. I will vote for Ted Cruz.
HOW helpful.
Jeb polls at about 3%,a real winner.
Yes, I know.
No one is clearly better than anyone your party is suggesting.
The reason liberals want Jeb to run: The debate would occur on liberal ground. If Ted Cruz were the nominee, the debate itself would change opinion and Even if Hillary lost to Jeb, the Obama legacy would remain intact and the Progressive March would continue.
Ted Cruz is the game changer.
Imho, he’s soft, which is why the eft would love to see him as the republican nominee.
the ‘left”
Diogenes, I think we have an honest-to-goodness Pollyanna Republican posting!
