Women are still pulling more weight around the house than men, according to the American Time Use Survey data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics Wednesday. However, men are starting to pick up the slack.
The BLS data reveal how much time Americans spent on various activities last year, from household work to leisure and sports as well as time spent providing childcare.
Here are some interesting highlights from last years data:
1. On an average day, 83 percent of women and 65 percent of men spent some time doing household activities such as housework, cooking, lawn care, or financial and other household management.
2. On the days they did household activities, women spent an average of 2.6 hours on such activities, while men spent 2.1 hours.

As it should be. Now go fix me a sammich.
More like 0.00000000000000021.
Isn’t that a generalization?
Wow: IRS scandal, Iraq, Russia, Obamacare imploding, illegals spilling over the border
And this is what Time is reporting on??????????????
As it should be.
And the author of this story is wondering why she is still not married...
And men to most of the yard work, home improvement, etc.
We are built for different things. My bride complains that she has to pick up after me, and I complain that she won’t fill her car up with gas and mows the lawn wrong.
So we do what we are good at. Ironically I prefer to do the laundry.
What is a lot more problematic is that the federal government is sticking its nose into this. Liberals like to say that the government should stay out of the bedroom. How about they stay out of the whole dang house. Garage and yard also.
And bring my beer... Make sure it’s already opened too!
Didn’t read the article, but I think most of the time the reason women are doing most of the housework is that they want it done a certain way. That’s my experience with myself and my friends.
So What!! there are more important things going on...or haven’t you noticed!
In my experience, men should help out at home if asked to. Many times the lady of the house like it that way, she likes being manager or Queen of The House, (which was a hit song in the 60’s).
Just last week, a man in India had his thing partially chopped off, because he changed his own sheets and blankets after having his wife ignore his prior requests that she change the linen.
So what TIME. I do more outside work than my wife. I work more in the garden than she does...and she’s a stay at home mom. We both do our roles. I work outside the home...and she works inside the home.
Yes, I see many more fat women these days.
Baby daddies spend a lot of time away IF they show up at all..
House whores might indeed be over worked..
** problem?.... NAH..
