As I recall, the Kansas City football team is the Chiefs, or at least it was when I lived there many years ago, yet the Kansas City Star is not going to use the name Redskins?
I see no one in the press is objecting to the Green Bay Packers. Perhaps they saw the writing on the wall when they first named their team.
Mark Levin yesterday read a long list of various teams at various levels that use ‘Redskins’ and other Native American names/identities.
Ironically, one was a NA school on the Navajo reservation. Red Mesa High School calls themselves ‘the Redskins’.
