I lived in Minnesota when Dayton started his career. His daddy couldn't find him a job doing something useful and suited to his abilities in the corporate world like sharpening pencils or pouring coffee for front office executive staff, so he started running for public office.
At first he lost, but eventually Minnesotans felt sorry for him, finally elected him and kept elevating him to higher office. This is the result.
