After failing to pay its gas bill, Ukraine now has to pay in advance for any natural gas from Russia, Gazprom said on Monday. Both companies have filed lawsuits against each other at the Stockholm Arbitration Court
This decision was taken due to systematic failure of Naftogaz Ukraine to pay. The debt of the company for Russian gas stands at $4.458 billion, including $1.451 billion for November and December 2013, and $3.007 billion for April-May 2014, Gazprom said in a statement posted on their website.
Theyve paid zero. Correspondingly we deliver zero, Sergey Kupriyanov, a Gazprom spokesperson said in a press conference following the announcement.

Maybe I should just address it here, since the topic is the natural gas supply and pricing.
That directly relates to Russian lying about wanting to help Russians inside the Ukraine, the main reason Russia offered up for putting troops on the border with the Ukraine.
We know about the terrorists sent into the Ukraine from Russia. It’s all related fella.
So you know the pricing to individuals from the Ukraine Gas company included the discounted pricing? Did they deepen the discount to the individual based upon them taking the gas and not paying for it?
Are you sure this wasn't the Ukraine middleman gas company keeping the difference? And done under the support of the Ukraine government?
So it’s your take that doubling the price to Ukraine will have no effect on gas prices for deliveries to individual homes.
