BILOXI, Mississippi -- A new poll shows conservative state Sen. Chris McDaniel with a commanding 12-point lead the runoff election in Mississippis GOP primary over six-term incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS).
The Citizens United Political Victory Fund poll, conducted by Kellyanne Conway of The Polling Company, Inc., shows McDaniel has a 52 percent to 40 percent lead over Cochran.
In a memo, pollster Conway noted too that McDaniel has an intensity advantage as 47 percent of his supporters say they are definite supporters whereas only 37 percent of Cochrans say as much.
With eight days to go before the run-off election in Mississippi, this poll shows that the momentum is with conservative challenger Chris McDaniel, Citizens United president David Bossie told Breitbart News. It is clear that Mississippians want a fresh voice in the U.S. Senate.
Citizens United Political Victory Fund has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars backing McDaniel in Mississippi.

Hey, Barbour...this is as much a message to you as to Cochran. Hell NO! Now for someone to tell Cochran to hang this one up and get behind McDaniel for a win in November. Whoa...that’s not how the moderates do it, though, is it? No, they’ll back the democrat. We’ll have to get this one done ourselves!
They’re more Rove-bots and they love when RINOS win primaries. They also love the chamber of crony capitalists
Only 12 points? Then again, it’s early...
“What Bloomberg, who is so smart in business, is too stupid to figure out is that his donations HURT the recipients. It ends up on the news and in the opponents campaign ads: NYC TYCOON GIVES ZILLIONS TO THUD CAMPAIGN.”
Just noted that the latests poll (Kellyanne Conway) shows McDaniel up 12 and pulling away. If Cochran had any intellect left, he’d resign and save the taxpayers the cost of the runoff election next week. As it is, he will go out a looser in several ways. Looks as though the voters in MS want more than someone who is good at diverting taxpayers money from other states to theirs.
WOW!
“Excellent ... My local elections this year arent very interesting, so Im looking out of state for opportunities to stick it to the GOPe and the democrats.”
Try going next door and helping out Lamar’s opponent.
Agreed, Thud should resign with some shred of honor remaining, but he’s gone Full Lugar at this point and will have to be defeated at the polls. All we can pray is that he is beaten and soundly.
Some people are still stuck on stupid.
And on a Bhenghazi thread another Freeper is pining for him as well. And he does it often. Same thing. “Miss Romney yet?”
Yea...as if Mr. severe conservative is a paragon of military respect and transparent governance.
Looks as though Cockran is about to be BRATTED OUT.
I hope this is correct, but we know about the power of incumbency.
Lamar! is only one year younger than THad Enough.
I’m with you on that. Term limits come from the voters.
I have observed this nearly everywhere. The American people aren't too informed, are they? That's why incumbency and a familiar name go a long way.
I would not be surprised at all if THad Enough has ever met Cantor.
Jesse knew he could survive a sixth term; so he wisely did not risk going out defeated in 2002. But EDole as the replacement was a huge mistake. By the time she got to the Senate, ol’ Bob had already left it six years earlier!
The American people aren’t too informed, are they?”
Quite frankly, the main reason I’m informed about so many different states and political issues is because of FR. Other than just scanning the headlines on Drudge once a day, it’s my only go to place for everything relevant, not just political issues.
