The State Department issued a travel warning for Iraq Sunday night that cautioned U.S. citizens to avoid “all but essential travel to Iraq.”
“Baghdad International Airport has been struck by mortar rounds and rockets, and the Mosul International Airport has been the target of militant assault,” the travel warning added.

It seems they have gone home after a few rockets at the airport. Planes still able to take off. However I am seeing multiple reports of this base falling to ISIS in the north.

I agree, but I would have put the Taliban, basically a bunch of goat herders who had no more ambitions than ruling the mountains of Afghanistan as number two, after hitting the country that actually attacked the US, Saudi Arabia, but unfortunately the Bush family were too deep in the pockets of the house of Saud to do that, so the US went after the Afghans instead.
They should just nuke it.
