Gov. Hickenlooper apologizes for how gun control was handled
ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Gov. John Hickenlooper told a group of Colorado sheriffs he is sorry for the way last year's gun-control measures were handled, and he acknowledged that the lawmen were shut out of the process.
Answering questions at the County Sheriffs of Colorado conference in Aspen on Friday, the governor said "I would say in the gun stuff, we certainly could have done a better job."
The Aspen Daily News reports Weld County Sheriff John Cooke asked Hickenlooper why he didn't meet with sheriffs before he signed the legislation. The governor said he did not know the lawmen were trying to talk to him until it was too late.
The legislation included new expanded background checks and a 15-round ammunition magazine limit.
Is Chickenloper running for re-election? It is the only time most jackasses pretend to be a little humble.
But will he ask for a reset so it can be done right? Don’t hold your breath.
The A-hole should have apologized to the citizens/voters too, but the truth is that he doesn’t think that he did anything wrong.
Yes, running for reelection in what many expect to be a losing race for him.
I hope he loses...and I don’t even live there.
What a lying piece of doody.
Sounds like Tom Tancredo is running away with the nomination.
Mr. niteowl77
The day he signed the “ gun stuff “ we got our house ready for market , sold it , and moved back to Texas . He won’t have this tax payer to kick around anymore .
Colorado ping.
I hope he’s REALLY sorry after he gets voted out of office.
I’m starting to see some yard signs for Adams county sheriff. Looked them both up, and they have that gun grabbing scumbag Ulibarri friended on their FB pages.
Took a few screenshots of it in case they delete it.
...sounds like he’s feeling a cold wind in his face.
“.....sounds like he’s feeling a cold wind in his face.”
And a hot poker up his behind.
I had my Hickenlooper replaced at an auto shop, cost me $1000
