A cheerleader for the Russian Revolution in the early 20th century and a leader in the labor movement during the Depression; hounded during the McCarthy era and orphaned after the fall of the Soviet Union, the Communist Party USA on Friday returned to Chicago, the city of its birth.
Given the movement's history, some might wonder why anyone would want to be a communist.
But the more than 300 adherents who came to celebrate the party's 95th anniversary at the University of Illinois at Chicago see it the other way around: Who wouldn't want to be a member?
Among them was Susan Gosman, who on the opening day of the convention stood in front of sign-in sheets divided by decades. Delegates were asked to mark the one during which they were radicalized. "For me, it would be 1944," she said. "The year I was born."
Gosman is a "red-diaper baby," as a communist born to communist parents is known. Her father took part in the 1930s sit-down strikes in automobile plants that won autoworkers a union. But it also got him in trouble during the 1950s. That meant tough times when she was growing up, and her parents cautioned her about the perils of following their political path.

I just re-read David Horowitz’s book “Radical Son”- In their economics and social philosophy, they try to eliminate the concept of Original Sin, that is, that man is selfish and depraved left to his own devices. When Communists try to eliminate Institutions and traditions here and elsewhere (even countries with which we disagree), they leave a void that results in cultural anarchy and eventually totalitarianism by the Strongest Man left in the room. We have institutions in this country- Marriage, Churches, City Hall, Banks, the Military, et. al. that are designed to protect the individual. Under Communism, these institutions are either destroyed or mutated into what the Strongman Junta wants. There WILL be “stability”, but it’ll be worse- for example, Stalin’s USSR was infinitely worse than rule under the Czars (even for the Jews).
I thought the Democrat Convention only took place in ELECTION YEARS, why are they meeting now?

I read “Radical Son” when it first came out. What a great read. I think I will follow your lead and read it again.
She is the big O's handler. If anyone has difficulty trying to understand and categorize Barack Hussein Obama, then think of him a puppet where VJ pulls the strings.
If I recall 2012, their party platform almost matches that of the Democrats exactly.
Will they have their head, Ms Obama, speaking? Chicago, really, who would have thought of that. Anyone knows who will be speaking? Is Bernie Sanders speaking?
I am glad that it is only 300 crazies. To be honest, I was expecting more.
Bill Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn are briefly mentioned a couple of times- but he makes a point of hammering them as anti-intellectual, who believed they weren’t all that bright even back when Horowitz was a Leftist.
Was Obongo
the guest of honor?
Gun control and political correctness were fundamental building blocks to create communist tyranny by the Marxists in the USSR. The same players reincarnated, often with communist heritage, are using the same game plan and propaganda to create a USSA. They want power and wealth and the rest of us as their serfs exactly as it was in the USSR.

So when does OTrauma show up for a speech
I thought he was giving the keynote address.
Birth place 95 years ago at the U of ILL. Explains a lot about Chicago.
This reads like a free ad for Communism.
I had an uncle in law that was a communist in Latin America. What is interesting is that he was the son of a maid and chauffeur, and received an amazing education, which is very hard to do when you are poor in Latin America.
He was more or less “groomed” by wealthy sponsors the same way Obama was. To his credit, he became financially successful. He eventually grew up, and when he had to work under communists and realized he could no longer speak out, he changed his ways. His biggest regret is bringing up his children without God.
I do believe there is some truth to elitists groups or families needing to control world leaders and events. They may not be “zionists”, but they are certainly megalomaniac sociopaths, afraid of large populations of “ordinary” people.
