This is international and strategic. That’s why I term it allies. This guy is a traitor in the truest sense of the word.
Frankly, I’ve been skeptical of this kind of thing. Always sounded too much like “black helicopter” stuff. But this is the UK Guardian, no citadel of conservatism. It’s apparently true that the Pentagon is preparing for unrest, but the most alarming part for me was that we are going to be profiled (and thus monitored closely — that’s what the computer models are designed to enable) so that in the name of preventing civil unrest our means of communication (blog, twitter, smart phone) can be controlled. After all you are a known “supporter of political violence”. What more reason is needed? The degree to which they are pressuring academics, in the face of resistance by groups like the AAA, is appalling.
