Business Insider was referencing the original article at TPM (just to give proper credit):

Palin: Immigration Debate ‘Just About Driving Me To Renounce My Republican Ties’

That’s right. And half her vision. Half her intellect.

Frankly, Sarah’s more of a man than 90% of the Republicans. Go for it Sarah - it’s time. Many will follow.

If she starts responding to the name “Nigel”, we will know it has happened! I don’t think she is leaving the GOP. I hope she does not. I think renouncing her ties would harm her influence.

she then accused President Barack Obama of orchestrating the “crisis” in Arizona ...

I do wonder about that. do Senior Obama and his Mexican Counterpart have talks on such matters? I remember years ago reading that the government down there encourages the poor to leave to come to America

The proof that it is ochestrated between Obama & Mexico is that these are OTM (Other Than Mexican) children. Mexico normally kills or otherwise discourages Central Americans from entering Mexico. Mexico knew these train loads were coming up & allowed it to happen.

Well, a good step. But that is not quite enough. Those that do must be willing to not support the GOPe. That is tough for many to do when it comes right down to it.

Ok, she wants to renounce her Repub ties, so she can become what? A Democrat? of course not. A libertopian? If so, she has to renounce her Christian beliefs, libertopians (for the most part, except for a minority that claim otherwise) are for abortion, atheism, same sex marriage, and other assorted Sodom and Gomorrah beliefs.

Jeez, this had me worried until I read the last sentence of the article which is a direct quote from Sarah:

“The primary expenditure we need to supply in this humanitarian crisis is jet fuel to fly these children back home to their parents.”

And, my fears resolved, say “HELL YES, SARA....let’s fly them back home....but not reimburse their families for the expenses they incurred in their attempt to violate American sovereignty and laws”.

Let them learn a hard truth -— crime doesn’t pay. Right now, the Obama regime and RINO Republicans are trying to make it pay big time for the invaders.

I don’t believe Palin will split with the GOP before the 2014 election.

Palin MIGHT after the mid-term. In my opinion.

In theory, Palin is, of course, correct.

But the Democrats would love to see the Republican party split in two. Yes, I know how corrupt and lazy the GOPe is. But it it wise to do exactly what your enemy wants you to do?

If she decides to do it, I believe she’ll be following a few folks that have done so in principle, if not already done so publically...

Since there is no formal association that is organized into a functional (and electable) political apparatus (maybe that is a good thing at this point)...

A defection of elected republicans (maybe even a few democrats) that might drop their party affiliation, might occur, if they had something tangible to jump to, and that had to be caucused with, and dealt with, in the conventional (political) sense...

So if that movement were to spawn this political organization, and force a clear definition of the left, the moderates, and the “new” (more conservative) right...Then yes, this would be the best thing I can think of for this country...

It would remove a lot of ambiguity from political definitions, and not allow the liberal narratives to bog down definitive positions with political moderation (fecklessness)...

The republican party might even well become the weakest political link in the chain, and might very well be forced to collaborate with the “new”, clearly defined conservative party...

But I am absolutely positive that there are some people who believe the world revolves around the republican party anyway...They can have it...

DON'T DO IT, SARAH!

It would be catastrophic to our country, not to mention downright stupid.

I really question her political mental thought processes here....not to mention WTF?

Just when there's a perfect storm starting to envelop the Demoncrat party in so many different ways that I'm not even going to list them here...like recent Tea Party victories, like good prospects for upcoming Tea Party victories, like the Long March of the Illegal Alien Children, like the situation in Iraq, like the ongoing scandals of Benghazi, Bergdahl, IRS, VA, F & F, like the economy tanking, gas prices going to go way up, like LernerGate evidence tampering, plus new travesties being revealed every day......no, I'm NOT going to list anything.....well, I guess I just did. Hmmm.

In short, with all of these "bad-news-for-dems" headlines swirling about practically hourly, why is Palin inserting herself on the front pages NOW with this divisive, diversionary, inane and ILL-TIMED hints at GOP desertion????

Sheesh! I've had enough of desertion accounts for a while.

I am surprised she has been loyal this long. When she leaves, I am following her. The establishment will not change from the amnesty they so want. She is threatening them not to go any further with amnesty because she knows it's the cancer that will destroy our country. Cantor lost because of his strong commitment to push immigration (amnesty) hidden as a reform. She has more guts than most of our own elected representatives. She doesn't want to see this country reformed by Obama who continually is breaking the law. And, what he has done to our veterans has pushed her almost to the edge, I would think. This current government is a criminal regime. Others should be saying what Palin is saying. I'd vote for her in a second and or Ted Cruz. I like her honesty.
