News of poor conditions at a holding center in Arizona for undocumented, unaccompanied minors whipped Sarah Palin into a fury Friday -- so much so that she said she was on the verge of renouncing her ties to the Republican Party.
She then accused President Barack Obama of orchestrating the "crisis" in Arizona in order to advance his own immigration reform agenda.
"In this case, Obamas refusal to enforce immigration laws and his blatant suggestion that his chosen illegal activity will be rewarded are proof of his tyrannical tactics," Palin wrote.

“Palin is threatening to leave because it is becoming too romneyized”
Yes! That IS why she is threatening to leave! Now, would that be a good move, at this time, for the advancement of the conservative movement? It would be a huge step. What are your thoughts on the matter?
I am with the present and that is what I described in that post.
Read it again, it is “pressure” and at just the right time, we need the GOPe to back off from this actual war they have embarked on.
As far as Romney being done, no he isn’t.

Romney tries to re-emerge as force in GOP politics
Romney has quietly sought kingmaker status in the GOPs fight for the Senate majority this fall and its quest to retake the White House in 2016. The effort at revival is fueling whispers about a third presidential run. But those closest to Romney suggest hes more interested in shaping party politics by lending his name and record-breaking fundraising machine to what he considers the next generation of electable conservatives.

Never mind, I just saw your post #59. Thank you for actually saying something that pertained to the subject matter, and I agree with you, she is exerting pressure at the exact moment the Empire is pushing back from the Cantor and Cochran elections. That’s a good thing.

Palin would not leave unless it serves as the start of a movement, she isnt thinking of just quietly leaving the GOP like Mitt Romney did in 1979 because of Reagan.

As far as I’m concerned the GOP is dead..Really no difference in the end. Yes there are a few good Republicans, but it’s not nearly enough.
Copy and paste #59 instead. That one was actually on point.
Actually they were both relevant to the thread, and the first one was relevant to the questions of concern you were posing on the thread.
As thread police, you don’t do very well, go back and look at how you got off the thread and caused so much wasted time and effort.
Of course, an interesting thing to see will be the GOPe response to Palin’s threat, if we can call it that. Will any of them say anything? Rove, or some other surrogate? Maybe the Wall Street Journal, or one of the lesser lights at National Review. Elected Republicans probably won’t say a word.
I think this Palin statement just keeps adding to all that is slapping the GOPe in the face right now, and warning them they are on the verge of self destruction if they don’t end this ruthless war against the base.
There are already more than 50 “third parties”, but Palin could actually start a true third party, big enough to reduce the GOP to a mid sized party, a Palin led Tea Party would become a true “third party” and who knows what the rankings would be after 5 or 10 or 20 years.
After this last 6 years of us seeing their hate, the GOPe better wake up and get over it’s scorched earth policies against conservatism, or else they just may end up succeeding at getting rid of the portion of the party that they want to stop so badly.
As Rush says, they need a permanent and growing underclass dependent on them. We need to cure this political codependency.
The rats have all the info on the piubs they need and now they are forced to eat from the trough. They are no help to us now
I fail to see where she said she is ready to renounce Republican ties.
Shouldn’t it read, “Sarah will follow the many”? She seems rather late to this “party”.
