MSNBC's Chuck Todd: Tea Party Conservatives 'Love to Complain,' 'Don't Want to Lead'(VIDEO)

Reacting to news that Texas conservatives Pete Sessions (R) and Jeb Hensarling (R) would not challenge Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for House Majority Leader, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd felt compelled to rip the Tea Party for their supposed lack of leadership. According to The Daily Rundown host, Tea Party conservatives “will blind quote ‘leadership’ to death. They love to complain, moan, gripe, you know what, but when the chips are down, they don’t have the guts to run.”

NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell was unwilling to raise much of an objection to this blatantly partisan analysis And they’ll keep doing that, and they get something out of it,” she noted. Refusing to back down from his original point, Todd asserted, “What do they want, just to complain? They like complaining, but they don’t want to lead?”

There is no tomorrow. There is the here and now. Or to expand the theme further, “Live for today, tomorrow never comes” . Ronnie James Dio.

We are past waiting. there is no more time to wait. Every day, every hour brings more GOP capitulation. They told us they want us destroyed. Two months is eternity. It is a figment of imagination. Between now and then the GOP will have been given two months of bluster from a group that has proven it backs down.

And when you are a group famous for backing down, when you back down the contenders, you get a big boost in power.

Tenn, it is now or never. Bookmark this page and come Nov lets review this discussion. I will gladly admit to you if I am wrong. Which assumes any of us will have a November to meet up in or free use of the net to meet on.

We only disagree on the timing.
The GOPe’s rigged this election by the rush vote.

A loss now would weaken the candidate who runs in the new coming
leadership vote.

A knock down brawl and most importantly victory is coming.

Norm.

We simply disagree on timing. And the timing has to be right.
However, I believe the knock down brawl and most importantly,
the victory we want is coming.

When you say that we disagree on the timing and that a loss now will weaken the candidate, you are really saying that we disagree that someone who steps up to fight now builds "street cred" for later.

You say that they won't build any credibility, that a fight now ruins them for later. I say that stepping up now builds them up for later.

You know what will happen later. They will say that the person came out of nowhere, hasn't built up a history of wanting to lead, hasn't built the network or made personal connections for wanting the job, hasn't gone through the hard knocks, or as Hillary said of Obama in 2008, "hasn't done the necessary spade work."

You do make a lot of great points. But running for a leadership position
is quite different than running for public office. A leadership vote is a secret
ballot. One needs time to drum up votes in a leadership vote. The GOPe’s rigged this rushed vote to deny conservatives
time necessary to drum up votes. One can certainly blame conservatives
for not being prepared when the opportunity arose.
Conservatives were certainly unprepared to act quickly.
My first reaction was also disappointment that a true conservative
did not step up.

Then I realized there had to be a reason.
And the reason could be the odds of victory in this leadership fight
are much greater with the coming new session of congress than they are
now.

However, with articles like this coming out, I will be very surprised if
conservatives do not have a knock down brawl for leadership positions
in the coming new congress. And they fact we conservatives are having
These conversations

In this particular fight, conservatives were caught off guard, unorganized
and got beat to the punch.
But only for the monent.

The real leadership challenges will come after the November elections when a number of current RINOs have retired and there are conservative reinforcements coming in who are newly elected.

You're right. Good one House Atreides.

House is right about this!

A knock down leadership brawl is coming in November.
Conservatives have time to organize.
More “Cantor Surprises” are in the works in coming primaries.

Todd: when the chips are down, they don’t have the guts to run.

Who are “they” that are not office-bound? Seems like all the MSM does is complain about any TEA candidate that poses the slightest threat to de facto politics.

Todd is a dick.
