I also like reading about London in the 1600s. A book titled An Instance of the Fingerpost a historical novel set in 1663 -I have never read that one, sounds interesting, I will have to track it down. :)

It’s kinda thick. It involves a murder as seen from five different view points, five different people. It includes of course Cromwell and his secret agents. Quite well done. The thing I liked about it was the way the author brought to life London in that time period.
