Not much of a surprise. Throughout their history, the Iraqi soldier is a coward due to their lack of military success. Running over Kuwait in the early 90s is like taking over a shopping mall. The couldn’t beat Iran, we routed them in 100 days in GW1 and GWII. Now, 1,000 insurgents have routed 2 divisions in Mosul. You can lead a horse to water but he ain’t going to win the Kentucky Derby. They do not have a long history of success on the battlefield to instill military competence and confidence, regardless of the US dollars and training. Our advisors needed to be there for at least two more decades to have any impact. But then Obama wants to fight in this region three times. He so wants his presidency to be over so he can work on his library on a Hawaiian hillside.
So happy I have a gimpy shoulder/arm from getting shot in this mess.
The fact that I gave up a promising sports career and get up any morning I mistakenly sleep on that shoulder in excruciating pain is made just all the more special now that I know Obama pissed everything away that my friends and I fought, suffered, and died for.
Well, happened to my dad in Vietnam. Happens here too.
Democrats can’t help themselves.
All those toyotas all lined up in file...sure wish we could have another shot at the highway of death...
In Afghanistan we don't.
But Obama keep wearing out equipment and men in Afghanistan
is there some reason that convoy is not being bombed from 30,000 feet?
on Dec. 14, 2011, when he was removing the last U.S. troops from Iraq, Obama gave a speech at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Here he said his strategy based on building a sovereign, stable, self-reliant Iraq had succeeded.
Its harder to end a war than begin one, Obama said at Fort Bragg. Indeed, everything that American troops have done in Iraq—all the fighting and all the dying, the bleeding and the building, and the training and the partnering—all of it has led to this moment of success. Now, Iraq is not a perfect place. It has many challenges ahead. But were leaving behind a sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq, with a representative government that was elected by its people. Were building a new partnership between our nations. And we are ending a war not with a final battle, but with a final march toward home. This is an extraordinary achievement, nearly nine years in the making.
this is unbelieveable. A single column, driving down the only highway, in broad day light. We can take them completely out with our planes or drones. Whiskey, tango, foxtrot is he waiting for?
I’m just a guy in the neighborhood. Let’s see, we were running arms in Benghazi to help the terrorist in Syria that were fighting Assad. They crossed the border and invaded Iraq. They’re on a roll. The mainly Shiite led government in Iraq in in disarray. Iran may help them. We’re supposed to help the Al Qaeda rebels invading Iraq or side with the Iraqi government and the Iranians in repelling the Al Qaeda ISIS rebels?
That picture: 1 good strafing run, and a 2nd for good measure.
“Obama is an idiot.”
Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times it’s enemy action.
You know ISIS is made up of the same people that Obama wanted to help in Syria by bombing the Syrian regime. Now they are taking over Iraq, too.
Draw em in and then nuke the damn place ....... stir, repeat, stir repeat.....etc...
Do we still have blogger contacts in Iraq, like we did when the war was going on?
But, to quote someone...”What difference, at THIS point, does it make?”
When I discuss this, few are willing to make the effort to understand even when I try to explain.
There is something educational in that picture.
ISLAMISTS CLOSE IN ON BAGHDAD
Just as B. Hussein planned it. 2.5 more years of this bull, you would think Democraps and RINOs would have had enough by now, but no. They’re going to wait till a nuke goes off then they’ll *really* complain and go back to their cocktail party and air kisses.
