Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is scheduled to fly back to the United States early Friday, NBC News has learned.

this guy made it to my station in Miami then just couldn’t help himself..Got about 10 bucks from the club register....What an ingnorant AH
Source???
If that is the case, I’m apologize to my friends in the Army, but damn...
You guys could not be that hard up for personnel??? Right???
I visited a burned unit member at Brook once upon a time. They are an awesome team.
If he gets discharged, then this is all over, unless there is some kind of serious mental issue that would require immediate institutionalization. Even then, iirc, he’d still be discharged after a bit and handed over to the VA.
He’ll be landing at Lackland/Kelly around 0200L. I doubt anyone will see him other than the flight nurse crew, some MPs and the van driver that hustles him away to BAMC.
I can think of plenty of guys who are willing to pick him up at the airport if he needs a ride.
Yes, it is curious, isn't it? And neither of those options makes 0bama look good. I'm guessing we'll be in for a change of tune on that topic.
I could see him being presented a medal - hey, maybe one of the silver stars Kerry threw over the fence - in a highly-publicized ceremony...on the day Baghdad falls...
Stevie, Army recruiters are known for their creativeness in overcoming obstacles, especially ones stationed in rural Idaho with a quota to fill.
So the brainwashed weasel is returning to the States on Friday the 13th underneath a full moon with a dash of solar flares.
Should be interesting.
Don’t US Army General Orders provide for the death penalty for leaving a sentry/guard post on the battlefield?
This guy didn’t wander off base to smoke some weed or chug a beer. He abandoned his SAW and other kit in the middle of the night at a forward combat post, made his way past the concertina wire without alerting the rest of the guard and continued on with compass in hand headed in a specific direction.
All this in one of the most desolate and dangerous areas of afghanistan. Do a Google image search with terms: Paktika FOB.
It looks like the moon, little vegetation or visible soil, just rocks any one of which could have rolled the wrong way and alerted his unit.
I just can’t see how he can escape the desertion charge. It almost as if his every action checked all the boxes and damn, the guy scored a hundred. Old vets have told me he could have tried and executed right there on the spot.
Beardless dancing Bowe.
It was in today’s Washington Post story reprinted in the Denver Post.
roger that...
thanks...
wow...He certainly recovered from his ‘life threatening’ illness quickly, wish our friends who really do have end of life illness could recover as this traitor did...and yes, he is a traitor..
so the MSM will all head to Texas to greet him...what a waste.
Death is one of the possible punishments for desertion. But, it’s not the only one. If no one brings charges, though, he’s home free. It’s like any other crime. Some authority has to bring charges.
“Hopefully on his way to Leavenworth very soon.”
I wish! Nope, he’ll get a pardon and run right back to Afghanistan.
I worked with someone long ago that was given that choice: jail or the Navy. He took the Navy.
He came out of the Navy with an education, and had a decent job as an electronics technician.
Sometimes, it works.

Interesting! Check out yesterday’s back-to-back X flares. This website is from Russia, so subtract 5 hours for US East Coast time. Unless I’m mistaken, it takes 24-48 hrs for the electromagnetic radiation to reach earth, which coincides neatly with Bergdahl’s travel schedule. Hate to see his plane get taken out by EMP.

All the ranting and raving over Bergdahl is a waste. He will (or won't) be dealt with in due time. The focus needs to be on the ongoing clear and present danger - Obama.
You got that right.
