As the situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate, President Obama's Iraq policy is coming under increasing scrutiny. On the Senate floor today, Senator John McCain even said: "It's time that the president got a new national security team." But the White House website's page on Iraq continues to tout Iraq as a "promise kept," noting that in President Obama's first inauguration speech, he said, "We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people," a mission he gave his national security team on his first full day in office:

I think we’d be better off if we let Saddam (or his sons) in charge of Iraq by leaving them alone. As bad as they were, at least they kept the radicals under wraps and was a check against Iran.
