So many children are flowing across the Mexican border into Texas without their parents that government facilities are overwhelmed trying to process them all, Jeh Johnson said at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
Some families have been drawn here by rumors that the U.S. is letting women and children into the country. That's what led Roxanna Lopez, 20, of Guatemala to travel with her son to the border at McAllen, Texas — where even legal immigration often tops 300 people a day.
Lopez told NBC News she paid smugglers everything she had because she'd heard that all women and children were welcome,
U.S. officials say that isn't necessarily true. But their proclamations haven't stopped the surge.

I wish the reporter asked her exactly how much she paid. The shoe shine guys in Tijuana told me recently that the fee paid to smugglers is more than $5,000 and is collected upon arrival at the destination in the USA. I doubt if these Guatemalans could pay $100. I would not be surprised if somebody or some gubmint is providing bus transportation for free.

It costs that much to come here lawfully, where you have all the legal protections afforded to legal residents and citizens
You chose the back door and that will result in your career being the equivalent of broom pusher.
You cannot integrate into society and become succesful when you are part of the underground economy.
Further, this whispered policy, by this administration, is putting children in very real risk of the elements and humans who would take advantage of them, injuring in whatever sick way they felt like.
Also, children don’t belong in concentration camps.
They belong in families
