Yeah to the duplicitous and slimy Cantor stepping down as Leader. My suspicion is that an equally slimy replacement will be found by Boehner.
To: jimbo123
Uhm politico?
Is he just stepping down as leader or quitting altogether?

Doubt it. Boehner is crying his eyes out right now. When he’s done he’ll be too scared to do anything.

Rep. Eric Cantor will step down as majority leader, according to several Republicans sources, ending a meteoric 13-year Congressional career. They misspelled mediocre.

The only reason he would wait until July 31 to resign is to pass
Amnesty on the way out.

NO Republican is going to vote for amnesty for a long time.
The recently-declared-dead Tea Party movement has assured that.

Good news. Now take his amnesty ball away.

It should be obvious to anyone paying attention what the real reason for Eric Cantor's loss is. Cantor failed to do what is expected from all incumbent Republican candidates these days.
Cantor failed to secretly fund a Libertarian third candidate to confuse voters and split the vote.
In his district, with the way that he neglected to maintain a good relationship with his constituents, it may not have mattered. But having not tried at all to run a dark horse to dilute his opposition shows that he was never fit to lead the GOPe.
