Oh, yeah - can’t count the number of times I’ve dropped ten grand at a restaurant. The hard part is finding out if they’re adding 15% to the bill before it reaches you. I mean, if it’s a party of less than six and they haven’t, they you’ve just stiffed the waiter. Bad politics.
I was at a high end steakhouse for a company dinner. There was a minimum order amount for use of the private dining room. The minimum was about $2,000. With 15 of us, we had trouble hitting it.
