I was at a high end steakhouse for a company dinner. There was a minimum order amount for use of the private dining room. The minimum was about $2,000. With 15 of us, we had trouble hitting it.

We were on a company rewards trip on Grand Cayman about 10 years ago. We made a bet with our sister company on who could spend more out for dinner. Our parent company was footing the bill. Twenty two of us went out for dinner. We were ordering just stupid things: lobster tails as side orders for everyone, Johnny Walker black, Cuban cigars, multiple Opus 1 bottles of wine, t-shirts for everybody, multiple deserts for everyone. It was ridiculous. We even paid for the dinner of another couple that was out on the terrace with us, because we were being so obnoxious. We won the bet, but still had a hard time getting over $10000 with tip. This was one of the most expensive restaurants on Grand Cayman.
