Sen. John Cornyn criticized President Obama for creating a “human magnet” with his unlawful approach to immigration enforcement, but admitted that Americans had a duty to care for the children that were flooding into the country.
“They need to be taken care of, I mean they’ve been left, basically dumped at America’s doorstep, and we need to treat them compassionately we need to make sure they get the care they need,” Cornyn explained to reporters on Capitol Hill on Tuesday afternoon.
Cornyn pointed out that children as young as four years old had traveled as many as 1,200 miles, suffering horrific conditions on their journey to America.
“If the message is that America’s door is open to anybody and everyone who wants to come here, people are going to flood in,” Cornyn said. “In this case some of the most vulnerable that you can imagine.”
He also shared discussions he had with border patrol agents who were worried about 200 sex offenders mixing in with the population of 49,000 detained immigrants since last year.
Cornyn did not say whether or not the children should be deported.
“I think we need to make sure they’re OK now,” said Cornyn adding that they should be probably be “reunited with family members.”

I agree with him...we need to house them, feed them, find their parents, and them send them home. EVERY ONE.

Cornyn is just showing his Republican colors.
We are NOT the worlds babysitter, nanny or guardian ad litem. Obama’s administration’s act is not only patently illegal it amounts to a treasonous act against this country with the intent of purposeful harm for political advantage..
Americans have no duty to care for other countries children. They can go back home and be cared for by people in their own countries.
If we provide for these kids in the name of charity instead of returning them to Mexico it will only encourage greater migration with the end result being so many dependant people that we cannot provide for them. The humanitarian cost of the safety net failing so many would dwarf the humanitarian cost of, as you say, dumping the current crop back across the border.
As a side note, the sad fate described above is where our welfare system is heading anyway, the Mexicans are just speeding up the process.
A very simple solution. They came over the US - Mexico Border. Thus, they were in Mexico last. Go to the border, make a large corral on the US side of the border, a salient so to speak in the border fence. Open the border fence inside the salient, so that from the salient one can cross freely to Mexico. Put the aliens in the salient. DONE SQUIRREL.
These children are not refugees. Now the german parents homeschooling their children were persecuted. These children were genuine refugees.

Nope, a Federal judge will require that the US pay to send the kids parents to take care of them. Watch and see.
