When politicians have trouble spinning their own glories, thats a problem.
So it was bizarre that Hillary Rodham Clinton, asked at a forum in April about her legacy at the State Department, had trouble articulating it. That feeds into a narrative awaiting her memoir on Tuesday that she may have been glamorous as secretary of state but didnt actually accomplish much.
In fact, thats dead wrong, for Clinton achieved a great deal and left a hefty legacy just not the traditional kind....
No, her legacy is different.
For starters, Clinton recognized that our future....
More fundamentally, Clinton vastly expanded....
Yet Clinton understood....

So, Nick, what you’re saying is that she didn’t accomplish anything.
That explains Benghazi. The regime was focused on "family planning" not national security.
A madam with a secretary?
I don’t think I can tolerate the whole article when Kristof says, in the first paragraph, Hillary! was ‘glamourous’ as Sec of State. You forgot the BARF ALERT!
I am listening to the talks and everyone is missing the big picture. Hillary is phoning it in. The media has her back and they have 8 years of experience playing their game in covering for Obama. And we had him dead to rights.
After getting slaughtered in his first debate with Romney, Obama stopped acting like he cared. He didn’t even try to hide it. And that is what we are now seeing from Hilary.
Bottom line is unless something happens that is so bad she cannot be President, Hillary is the next President. Question now is, who is her squish RINO opponent?
Capacity is directly proportionate to rank and perceived advantage to the spittle guzzler. For Hill, Nikki could down several quarts, I reckon.
the business case for focusing on gender in agricultural development.
Who comes up with this $hit ?
Yes,Secretary Rice did quite a good job during her time at State. To believe otherwise is clearly racist.
PIAPS?
“glamorous”?
Those folks in NY need to get out into the sunshine more often— or something!
Are you completely lacking in imagination? "Oh look...our cucumbers are all boys".
I can't wait for the Presidential campaign, as the only way they will be able to push Hillary is to separate her from the Big Zero who constantly said everything was Bush's fault. This will be a campaign to watch!
I think that she did wonders for the women’s Big & Squat Pant Suits stores...
...They listened with increasingly furrowed brows, as if absorbing an alien language, as Clinton brightly spoke about topics such as the business case for focusing on gender in agricultural development....
... Mention early childhood interventions, and she will gush about obscure details of a home visitation experiment in Elmira, N.Y., that dramatically improved child outcomes....
...McFaul then had no idea what a tweet was, and there was strong resistance from senior diplomats. I said the boss wants to do this, McFaul recalls, and he ultimately became a champion tweeter. ...
...So, sure, critics are right that Hillary Rodham Clinton never achieved the kind of landmark peace agreement that would make the first sentence of her obituary. But give her credit: She expanded the diplomatic agenda and adopted new tools to promote it a truly important legacy. ...

Reading between the lines, it doesn't sound like a very impressive record. If you're convinced that gender politics and tweeting are very important, you'll think all this is great. If you're not sure about that, you may still be wondering what was so great about Secretary Clinton. The implication is that her presidency would be all about feminism and social media, which isn't really good news for many of us.
She left the Middle East in flames.
Exactly as she intended.
