What is cronyism, and why does it matter?
Merriam-Webster defines it as the unfair practice by a powerful person (such as a politician) of giving jobs and other favors to friends.
This matters because there are only a few in power, and chances are youre not one of the favored friendsbut its your money theyre playing with.
In our new video, we explain what Washington is doing with some of your hard-earned moneyin addition to the big-government programs youve already heard of.
It's pretty bad when someone "who is good with details" and zero years experience gets a position that I have almost 30 years combined experience to do. Oh, did I mention that she looks better in a dress than I do?
Oh the stories I could tell.................
Everytime you flick on a lightswitch and fill your gas tank thank cronyism for the “skyrocketing” cost.
I thought it did really well until the very end with the closing line “why should our money be used to gamble on exports.” We need more exports but the fact is we have massive trade imbalances that, in part, are caused by a myriad of taxes and regulations that make the US more expensive and more cumbersome to do business in.
The purpose of the video is propaganda against the Imports-Exports Bank which, while it may be a worthy target, is only a small part of the overall cronyism picture. Take the same video, edit out the final line, replace it with a more general anti-cronyism theme and then make it a part of an ongoing series about cronyism and the government structures that enable it.
