(Reuters) - A Senate panel, responding to what President Barack Obama calls an "urgent humanitarian situation," on Tuesday advanced legislation significantly increasing funds to handle a surge of foreign children entering the United States illegally.
Democratic Senator Barbara Mikulski, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee, included up to $2.28 billion for the Department of Health and Human Services to feed and shelter the estimated 130,000 minors expected to arrive in the fiscal year that begins on Oct. 1.
That is up from the $868 million that Congress urgently provided this year to handle an estimated 60,000 undocumented children who will leave their homes in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and other countries and travel to the United States without their parents or other relatives.
A Senate aide familiar with the issue told Reuters appropriators also intend to have a "significant" increase in funds for the Department of Homeland Security next year. That agency is initially in charge of the unaccompanied minors when they are caught by federal agents, most often at the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas by the Mexican border.

If I were Governor of AZ., I’d sign an EO demanding the mobilization of all available school buses (and any other buses) statewide (school’s out right?). I’d then reach out to the citizens of the state asking for volunteers (or, pay them if need be) to load these refugees onto these buses and drive them to the steps of DC and drop them off with signs that read, “we are Obama’s children!”

We always have to reduce these things down to the sandbox level so we can correctly define them.
This situation is the same as your neighbor’s kids trying to get into your yard and house. So the government swoops in at the picket fence and gives the kids money. Who profits? The parents don’t need to care for their children any more, so they do, and the kids profit. This is all happening inside YOUR FENCE so you lose, and since you pay taxes, you lose again.
We need to understand freedom a bit better. Freedom includes the FREEDOM TO FAIL, and also THE FREEDOM TO FAIL YOUR CHILDREN.
No one wants children to die. But children die all over the planet. If people want to save children, go visit them and see what you can do to save them there and help that land care for their children from now forward, and leave.
Stop feeling sorry for illegals. They should stay where they are, and we need to make immigration for the workers and families we CAN sustain more logical. Right now we have strict laws that are not being enforced. It’s so screwed up.
Here’s some straight talk about the underaged illegal alien infestation.
The Obama administration is calling this termendous influx of underage illegal alien children at our southern border a humanitarian issue. Something like 10-12,000 per month. They are holding over 80,000. They wan over two billion US tax dollars to house them and move them further inland. They say these kids are coming from Honduras, Guatemala, El Savladro, etc. and they have no parents,... no food, now water.

Then just how on earth did they get from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, etc. to the US southern border thewn? Hmmm?
Folks, they are lieing...again! Someone has orchestrated this and planned it and brought those children there.
I say put them on cargo ships and feed them while en route, but ship them back to where they came from and leave them in the country of origin.
At the same time DEMAND ANSWERS as to how this is occuring. Then run Obama and his administration of vipers out of office...as soon as possible.
Either Mexico comes for their kids or we invade a section and use it as a holding pen for their citizens.
Why are children coming across the border alone? This just started so our Government has to be behind this!
