Hillary Clinton on Tuesday tried to clear up the fallout from a comment she made about her family being dead broke after leaving the White House in 2001 a remark that opened her up to charges of being out of touch with ordinary Americans.
Let me just clarify that I fully appreciate how hard life is for so many Americans today, the former secretary of state said on ABCs Good Morning America. She said she and husband Bill Clinton were obviously blessed but it was just a reality what we faced when he got out of the White House meant that we just had to keep working really hard. She said she recalled being about $12 million in debt. Watch here, at about 2:37:

“I ain’t tahred...”. Plantation Hillary now starring in The Grapes of Wrath.
It’s weird. I distinctly remember their purchase of a very large expensive home just outside NYC at this exact time, and a slew of fluff pieces in the media touring the home and showing all their very nice home decorations.
Yep, we don’t have the luxury of making a speech to “earn” a quick $50,000 when we need it.
Oh yeah, her supporters will just “un hear” it.
IF hellery ever does become POTUS, she will have to vacate the office no later than January 20, 2020. Reason: Since Bill and Hill both said they were co-president, that means, that if I have it correct, the Constitution says that no one can hold the office of POTUS longer than ten years. Since she’s already held, or co-held, it eight years, here date of depature is stated above. Let’s all pray she never darkens the White House ever again.
She could have left it at “dead.”.......
There was an ethics question because she had been elected to the US Senate in Nov...but had not been sworn in.
She's a liar!! Nuf said.
No, I remember the marching bands, spectators, etc. being forced to wait for hours in the driving sleet because they couldn’t start the Bush Inaugural parade until the Clintons actually left town. Rude b*****ds.
I was there.
I remember when mac and cheese was the fill me up for a dime. Now it’s some big gourmet deal. People are sooooo stupid.
“Dead broke” people don’t buy their first ever home in Chappaqua for $1.7 Million.
just a reality what we faced when he got out of the White House meant that we just had to keep working really hard.
At WHAT???
Screwing the American taxpayer and helping that liar Obama???
Ok, now that explains why they stole the china. /sarc
I guess it is kind of 'hard work' to come up with new lies, keep them straight (although if the Clintons don't keep their lies straight, the Media never calls them on it ... so maybe they don't have to work too hard on the 'keeping the lies straight' task), lie without batting an eye, stab people in the back...
Which could have been paid off with just the advance for BJ's autobiography. Hillary also received nearly $3 million of the eventual $8 million advance for her memoirs. Both of these payoffs were received in 2001, within 12 months after BJ left office.
On top of that, the Secret Service was paying enough "rent" for a "guard shack" on the grounds of the Clinton mansion in NY to make that mortgage payment every month.
99.9% of the people in the US would have loved to be in that position.
To me, “dead broke” meant no chicken, it meant rice, oatmeal, and sometimes corn meal, no meat, not milk, no eggs, no car, no resources.
Even when used casually by people temporarily broke, it meant borrowing money for gas, or cigarettes, or for a utility bill.
and adds , “Brain Dead”
Her $8 MILLION book deal was signed in Dec. 2000, just before they left office.
That should have covered “broke” through Spring of 2001....
There is no way the clintons honestly made over $100 million. They received the money selling out their country.
Hillary Clinton blamed Ambassador Stevens for being in Benghazi and she also blamed George Bush for the lack of security!
I aint tahred.... Plantation Hillary now starring in The Grapes of Wrath. ...................... How about “Tobacco Road”?
