Isn’t this pretty much a dum-dum of the type outlawed for international war around the turn of the 20th century as just too gross?

Did they really call it the RIP? Did they not learn the lesson of the black talon? Should call it the equal opportunity huggie bear, that way the libs will will ignore it.
Very interesting tech.

The YouTube channel Military Arms Channel did several ballistic gel tests with this bullet. Looked quite impressive.

How is there any real different from “Black Talon” (IIRC)rounds from a few years ago?

With ammo being expensive, I suppose a lot of people don’t mind paying a bit more for premium.
Yea, these would definitely be against Geneva

Do the treaties on dum dum bullets apply to civilian use against thugs on the street? If I can load something besides FMJ in a 9mm that will drop a baddie without causing jamming issues, then it is worth a look.

Pretty sure you hit someone with a 500 gr. 50 cal. bullet they will lose all interest in being aggressive.

Dumb hype for a poorly designed projectile. Just looking at that I can see that it would almost certainly fail to achieve the F.B.I. minimum penetration in ballistic gelatin.
But, hey, most people don’t have the faintest concept of physics or anatomy, so they’ve got a big potential market of dim-bulbs to market that to.
I’ll check some of my gun forums and blogs to see if anyone has ripped this one to shreds yet, could be amusing.

The Left can't call it the "cop-killer" bullet because they already used that one.
What scary name will they conjure up this time?

A 115 grain 9mm has a muzzle velocity of about 1300 fps. I’m guessing this would have a muzzle velocity of almost 1600 fps.

In the war with Mexico in 1846-47, the United States lodged a formal protest in the International Court, because Mexican troops used copper bullets. Copper ammunition was considered poisonous, because it would react with body fluids and form poisonous compounds. A wound could kill you in a few months and make you sick for a long time before it finally did you in.
