What happens when the world’s greatest spin doctor commits malpractice — on himself?
That is the question that now bedevils Barack Obama after what have been, without a doubt, the worst weeks of his presidency.
From the Veterans Administration scandal to the jaw-dropping events surrounding the swap of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the man with the most remarkable intuitive grasp of how to preserve and enhance his own image the world has ever seen has now tarnished it almost beyond recognition.
Who would have expected such a development? From the speech in 2004 that made him a rising star through the campaign in 2008 that made him president, Obama was the most formidable political propagandist of all time.

An unabashed liberal and among the most nakedly partisan politicians in this country’s history, Obama came to fame in ’04 loudly declaiming that we are not red states or blue states, but the United States. He knocked off Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries by using the mechanisms his party had put in place to empower its left wing — while claiming to be a more unifying figure than she.
In June ’08, he began speaking at a podium with a decal resembling the presidential seal on it, a brilliant way of planting the suggestion that his election was a foregone conclusion....

Is Mr. Podhoretz kidding? “Intuitive grasp”? obozo is beloved by the press and academia so he skates when they assist him. Period. Full stop.
I think Obama saw the Bergdahl swap as an opportunity to divert attention away from the VA scandal, Benghazi, the Obamacare debacle, etc. It did, but not in the way he planned. He was counting on using this as another “I got Osama Bin Laden moment”, with the sheeple seeing him as a Commander in Chief who took bold, decisive action to free an American “hero” from the clutches of the Taliban. Instead, it blew up in his face. He didn’t anticipate many of Bergdahl’s fellow soldiers coming forward to describe him, in no uncertain terms, as a deserter who may very well have collaborated with the enemy. He didn’t anticipate the Taliban releasing video of Bergdahl being turned over to American control, clearly showing him to be in good health, and not at “death’s door” as described by the Obama administration. He didn’t anticipate criticism from members of his own party, including Diane Feinstein, who called his actions illegal. This is a story that the American people understand. They know that once again, Obama has lied to them big time.
Who would have expected such a development?

That is an interesting thought, but not a very good one. How in the world could Ambassador Stevens have been traded in his condition?

I am more than a little surprised to see John Podhoretz displaying such naiveté. He lists all of Obamugabe’s PR accomplishments as if the Kenyan had come up with all of these ideas and strategies on his own. Follow the puppet strings to their control source, Johnny.
Bergdahl is a distraction to divert attention from Obama’s treason.

Well, that story is yet another example of the treason of the Soros Administration. They are bringing these illegals in to overwhelm our native population. This is, indeed, a big story.

I fear it goes way beyond what you describe. The following is the way I see it and explains my tagline. (Please forgive me for C&P’ing what I have posted on other threads.)
Obamugabe used the Rose Garden presser, on May 31, as a ceremony of surrender to the mohammedans. Following all of the work that the Soros Administration has done to destroy our Republic, Obama was instructed to officially hand us over to the Global Caliphate.
Bergdahl, the cracker mock-up of Osama bin Ladin, played back-up singer, with his bismallah. As he praised his satanic deity in front of what once was our White House, he dedicated the site for islam in perpetuity.
And, of course, the loyal toadies in the media broadcast the ceremony all over the world, so that the islamonazis would get the word. I am sure that there was much ululation and the passing out of sweets in the ME on that night.
