It takes 1.5 hours to drive to Boise airport from Hailey, then the fastest flight commercial flight would be a Delta flight to SLC, then BWI, which would leave at 6:40 am, arriving in Baltimore/Washington at 4:06 pm. Even if they flew right from Bailey, they would have had at least a 3 hop, as opposed to the shortest two hop Delta flight from Boise.

Conclusion: Obama lied about telling them the news the morning of the press conference, he sent a government jet for the Bergdals, or both.

The body language and actions of the Bergdahls indicated they were no strangers to the president, and that they had been "handled" many times leading up to their rose garden presser.
