P.S. I agree with most of what you’ve posted here. I’m not a fan of government involvement in most of these things, but the history of the development of transportation infrastructure in the U.S. is riddled with examples of how seriously flawed the whole idea of “private ownership” actually is.

I don’t see any flaws; all I see is government ownership where the private sector would have sufficed/would suffice.

You don’t believe that foreign owners of toll roads are subject to being sued?

The Ambassador bridge is a perfect example. Its the second busiest freight crossing on the north American continent and its privately owned by Michigan's single largest democrat donor. Matty Maroun has spent hundreds of millions preventing the building of a second bridge across the Detroit river as he allows his own to crumble. (Incidentally he also owns the crumbling Detroit train station). The piece of garbage was caught conspiring with Kwame Kilpatric attempting to seize control of the tunnel as well.

He's been promising to build a second bridge for decades but will only build it in exactly the one spot he knows will never be allowed in downtown Detroit and Windsor. Meanwhile Canada has a spot all prepared for a new bridge right across from Zug island.

As the freight bottleneck continues, Matty Maroun uses his monopoly money to almost singlehandedly keep the most corrupt city council in the nation in power.
