A well armed & armored defendant drove to the Forsyth County GA Courthouse, ignited a smoke grenade, and started shooting (injuring one deputy). He didn't last long. SWAT showed up within 40 seconds.
Show some Red Badger Courage.
ThAt was supposed to be the scenic route. I thought I would bypass Atlanta traffic anf go through Cumming.
Sounds like suicide-by-cop.
Cumming, GA...............heh-heh-heh................(I used to live in Norcross)................
I’m not gonna get shot just to prove a point..............
OK, that’s funny, albeit in the midst of a bad situation.
I felt very safe. I even got out my car and waved at the TV cameras
There are no coincidences: today is National Donut Day!
They called him a “gun trader”, then much later noted that he was a felon, which meant he could not legally trade guns.
He is a self-proclaimed “sovereign citizen”.
I bet your “I love Norcross” T-shirts don’t as many double takes as the “I love Cumming (ga)” T’s. :)
CNN is reporting the dead man is former employee of the TSA. How about that?
I was just at the bank near the courthouse square. I heard the area around Courthouse Square will be closed at least through tomorrow. The Forsyth County Sheriffs Department did an excellent job today. That the POS died of multiple gunshot wounds makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Mmmmmmmmm donuts.
Got a link on the “felon” tidbit? Know someone who will need to know that, lest he go on about the “gun trader” line and accuse RKBA types.
The Mellow Mushroom staff in town had those shirts. Pity it closed.
It was just mentioned in the WXIA-TV story.

“Ann Shafer, one of Marx’s attorneys, told 11Alive News her client was arrested over a year ago on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and firearm possession by a convicted felon.”
So if he was arrested over a year ago, and was a convicted felon *then*, his conviction is kind of old news.

“According to court records, Marx faced many drug-related charges from August 2011, including manufacturing marijuana, possessing a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony and possession with intent to distribute.”
Sheriff is a good guy. Form 4 signoffs while you wait. Made clear keeping good citizens safe was a real priority.
Forsyth County is among the richest in the country, though you wouldn’t guess driving thru (upscale-but-humble housing adds up). Big Tea Party presence. If the cops hadn’t dispatched the guy, methinks bystanders would have.
Loved Mellow Mushroom.
Goodson Drugs still sells the shirts.
The charges he faced today were from 2011

If that is the same as an ANARCHIST the USA used to take real good care of them.
***That the POS died of multiple gunshot wounds****
But, but in Seattle they are telling us that all we need to stop a bad guy with a gun is a can of pepper spray!
Should the deputy have used pepper spray or mace first?
