The U.S. Senate race in Iowa is a dead heat.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Iowa Voters finds Republican Joni Ernst, the winner of Tuesdays crowded party primary, with 45% support to Democratic Congressman Bruce Braleys 44%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate in the race, while nine percent (9%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 750 Likely Voters in Iowa was conducted on June 4-5, 2014 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
Not only that but when the wife heard Joni’s add about nut plucking and pork whacking she said that was her kind of girl and would get a check off to her. The wife isn’t one to send political checks and we’re about eight states away. There has to be a lot of that kind of sentiment drifting around downtown Iowa.
there was an article posted thee other day about how Rassmuessen is the only poller showing Obama with a positive rating. They have been since the business was sold latge last year.
Growing pains. Far too many cazndidates the past few cycles who either (and this only matters to the right) were unqualified for office or just taking advazantaged of the movement.
Hoping she doesn’t get too chummy with that bunch.
We need more Rs like Steve King.
Loras College just released a poll of the IA Senate race, and it shows Joni Ernst beating Braley by 48%-42%. Still a long way to go until November, but Ernst is looking pretty good right now.
Go Joni!
Another poll, from Loras College, has her up 48%-42%.
A good start in liberal land, but the least misstatement and the wrath of the American people will come down on her like she is Todd Akin’s sister.
How can brucie attack her? texas trial lawyer beats on a girl? Lumping her as an Iowa Palin isn’t going to work. She has much more substance than brucie. It is too early to predict yet, but I think Joni got him knocked!!! Go Joni!
Braley doesn’t have to attack her. The Des Moines Register, Iowa television broadcasters and public broadcasting affiliates will do it for him. The national media and Hollywood types will do their part too.
Braley is a four-term sitting US Congressman. I am unaware of any connection to Texas. His career has been centered in Waterloo, Iowa, hometown of Michele Bachmann.
Those dumb comments need to be brought back up late August. Demand an explanation, demand a condemnation by Braley, demand an explanation and an apology by Braley.
It’s the Democrats who wage war on women.
I am not sure Akin really was tea party. The more I look the faker he gets.
hehe
She IS that bunch.
Wow, what happened to that big lead Braley?
“A lot of Union, universities voters? Seems like it should be more favorable to the Repub column.”
Iowa City, with the University of Iowa is a leftist stronghold. Lots of influence, at least in the past. Maybe the tide will eventually turn there too?
LOL. Stop, please. You're killing me.
The tide will turn at the U of I soon after San Francisco elects an evangelical Christian conservative mayor.
