North Korea announced Friday that it has detained a U.S. citizen who it says entered the country as a tourist in April and broke the law.
The North's state-run Korean Central News Agency reported that authorities are investigating the man, who it said "carried out acts that were inappropriate for a tourist."

In 2004, David Sneddon disappeared while hiking in China. But what seemed at first like a tragic accident may be something far more sinister: His family believes he is among the thousands of civilians who have been mysteriously abducted and imprisoned by North Korean agents.
Keep him/her. If you are dumb enough to go there, then your demise only cleans out the gene pool of stupidity. This is a good thing.
Actually you can if you can get a visa from North Korea. The State Department strongly recommends against it, but nothing in U.S. law prohibits it.
