Instead of doing peace-corps stuff, he was thrown into a compound and kept like a pet dog. He couldn't integrate with the military and he couldn't integrate with the Afganis. They won't, but they should. Traitors are traditionally screwed once they turn. Benedict Arnold was a case in point. One side hates you, both sides despise you, and nobody trusts you.

Sounds like it should be Liberalism 101. But since liberals detest history (except as a tool to wield power as it suits their needs) they wouldn't have learned this.
