That’s a pretty good indicator of the degree of desperation these folks are dealing with. I would love to have witnessed the moment Obama and Valerie Jarret began to realize that this swap as not going to elicit cheers but was rather going to evoke virtually universal condemnation.
Personally I think they knew exactly what the fallout would be but knew whatever it was it would be a lot less than the fallout if the terrorist weren’t released and the muslim brotherhood and terrorist from Benghazi suddenly started talking about Benghazi and who arranged for Stevens to be in Benghazi on that particular day.
This has the smell of “blackmail” all over it.
