I can assure you that may American companies feel exactly the same way. If you're providing family medical coverage for your employees, you have a huge financial incentive to discourage them from having kids because of the enormous cost to your insurance carrier of maternal care and pediatric care.

It would not surprise me one bit if we get to the point where mandatory sterilization becomes a condition of employment for a lot of companies.
