In an astonishing admission of naiveté and ignorance, Lindsey Graham confessed that he didn’t know until yesterday how “disconnected from reality” Harry Reid is. For years, Graham has been lecturing Tea Party voters and other conservatives that only he, Lindsey Graham, knew his way around Washington and how to deal with Democrats. Not so much it turns out.
“This really shows how disconnected from reality Lindsey Graham is,” said Lee Bright, the leading challenger to Graham in the June 10 Senate Primary. “He and John McCain just can’t wait to call people like Ted Cruz a whacko bird for standing up to ObamaCare – and yet he has remained clueless about Harry Reid all these years. I frankly think it’s embarrassing and points out that Graham has become a full-fledged creature of Washington now. People in South Carolina have been onto Reid for years.”
Bright went on to say that “we keep hearing from Graham that we don’t know how Washington works. Well I’ve got news for him – Washington needs to understand how reality works outside the beltway, and in reality, we don’t sell out and appease characters like Harry Reid.”
Communications Director Edmund Wright added, “Only in Washington would Harry Reid be allowed to roam outside of a padded cell. I think his crooked dealings and his absurd statements and his Koch Brothers phobia warrant custody of some sort. And now Lindsey Graham is finally figuring out there’s a problem. I guess this is the judgment we could expect from a supporter of Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.
